What Is Cedar Clearing?
Eastern red cedar is the most significant invasive tree in Oklahoma. It spreads aggressively across pastures, shades out native grasses, consumes groundwater, and reduces land carrying capacity by up to 75% in heavy stands. A property that was open pasture ten years ago can be an impassable cedar thicket today.
Forestry mulching is the most efficient removal method for most Tulsa-area cedar jobs. The machine grinds cedar trees up to approximately 6 inches in diameter in a single pass — tree, branches, and all — leaving a fine mulch layer. No burn piles, no debris hauling, no waiting.
Oklahoma landowners may qualify for cost-share assistance through Oklahoma Forestry Services and USDA NRCS EQIP programs. We point you to the right contacts at your site visit.
